the recent storm dropped around 7 inches in Loa, i went to check the conditions on the upper Fremont today.
it was 26 deg at mill meadow and snowing, there was minimal snow however on the ground until about the second restroom area, there appeared to be one guy out there fishing the river, when we fished it Friday we caught several with a peacock and Brown Bugger sz 12. here are the pictures from today.

Forsyth Reservoir, temperature today at 2pm was 56 deg and there was strong wind, the ice as you can see had plenty of slush and standing water on it, there was water running off of every hill down on to the ice,
i did not venture out on the ice as it looked pretty rotten, there were fish feeding at the springs area where there is a little open water.

Mill Meadow, Ice Fishing is done, there was good ice last week, this week with warm temperatures and wind the ice is cracking and breaking up, this crack is right at the boat ramp. we have been fishing the inlets with black and brown buggers and have been doing really really well.

plenty of open water at the inlets on Millmeadow.

Upper Fremont.   with this warm temperature the fishing has been great, we continue to catch lots of browns
with a variety of midge patterns.

Thousand Lake Mtn
Tried the road over from forsyth today to see how far i could make it. even with the warm weather there is alot of snow on the road, i made it to the gate before backing down, access is possible from the desert side.

Southern Utah Fly Fishing Report

The Upper Fremont.
Conditions remain good, with the warmer weather the Stream has remained ice free, look for overcast days to provide the best midge hatches, we have done well using both drys and nymphs.
are favorites this week have been, Tennessee Renegade in sz 16, Griffith gnat sz 18 midge emerger Black sz 18. we also use black hares ear, sz. 16, prince nymph sz 14, and the universal chironomid sz 16. from

 Mill Meadow Reservoir.
The warm weather has really softened the edges of the reservoir, i was still able to get on the ice at the boat ramp and drilled 3 holes at 10 20 and 50 feet out, ice was anywhere from 10 to 14 inches. day time temperatures have been as warm as 55 deg up there, use caution if venturing out.
i have been fishing the inlets with black buggers and have been catching a few.
